The New Forest
The country’s newest National Park in 2006 and one of the oldest Royal Hunting Grounds dating back to William the Conquer and 1066. It is also one of the last areas in Europe where wild horses roam free, with its own breed of New Forest Pony which controls and create the unique landscape of ancient and ornamental woods with heather rich heaths. Criss-crossed by rivers and streams, all creating a rich and divers landscape offering some of the country’s most beautiful sights. An all year attraction which changes with the seasons, its relaxed slow pace of life, friendly people is a great place to explore whether on foot, bicycle, horse or by car.
